Junior Web Developer

As a Junior Web Developer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the development and enhancement of Magnet’s web applications and digital platforms. Working alongside experienced developers, you’ll contribute to meaningful projects while continuously developing your skills - making this an excellent opportunity to begin or grow your career.
Please note - there is flexible hybrid working, but please make sure you are commutable to our Leeds office.

What you’ll be doing:
Supporting the development and maintenance of Magnet’s web applications and digital features.
Building new functionality with a focus on long‑term stability and high‑quality code.
Investigating incidents, troubleshooting bugs, and managing work items in Azure DevOps.
Documenting your work clearly to support our audit trails and technical standards.
Collaborating with the team to improve processes, ways of working, and development practices.
Taking part in technical discussions and contributing to decisions that shape our digital landscape.
Who we’re looking for:
Some experience coding with C#, and interest in working with ASP.NET Core and legacy ASP.NET Framework
Basic understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, with exposure to frameworks like React
An interest in building back‑end services and APIs using clean, maintainable code
Familiarity with SQL Server, databases, and software integrations
Ability to work well in a team, sharing ideas, improving processes, and contributing to solutions
Comfort using tools like Azure, Visual Studio / VS Code, and Microsoft Office
Desirably experience working on personal projects, GitHub repos, or anything that shows your passion for coding
