What you’ll be doing
As our SAP Basis Manager, you’ll be the technical authority across our SAP ecosystem—leading a team of specialists, setting the roadmap, and ensuring our platforms remain stable, secure, and high‑performing.
You will:
Provide strategic leadership for SAP Basis, security, and authorizations, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business goals.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing SAP technical team.
Own the SAP technical roadmap—upgrades, migrations, cloud adoption, optimisation and more.
Oversee installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance across complex SAP landscapes (ECC, BW, CRM, PO, SolMan, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA).
Govern HANA and Oracle database activities to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance.
Lead administration of SAP cloud solutions including BTP, Cloud ALM, C4C, IBP, Integration Suite and Cloud Connector.
Own SAP security and authorisations—role design, SoD management, audit readiness and license compliance.
Drive operational excellence through proactive monitoring, issue resolution and risk management.
Act as the primary escalation point for SAP Basis and security matters across business and project teams.
Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Applications and Business Stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
You’re someone who combines deep technical expertise with clear, confident leadership.
You’ll need:
7+ years’ experience in SAP Basis & Authorisations, including leading teams or managing enterprise SAP environments.
Expert knowledge of SAP architecture, components and system administration.
Strong understanding of HANA and Oracle platforms, performance, and governance.
Proven expertise in SAP security and authorisations, including SoD and access governance.
Experience managing large‑scale SAP installations, upgrades, migrations, refreshes, and maintenance cycles.
Knowledge of disaster recovery principles for SAP environments.
Background with complex SAP landscapes: ECC, BW, CRM, Portal, PO, SolMan, S/4HANA and BW/4HANA.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, especially in high‑severity incident resolution.
Working knowledge of SUSE or similar operating systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with SAP Cloud solutions (C4C, IBP, Integration Suite).
