Distribution Planner
About the Role
As a Distribution Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that transportation and additional services are planned and booked in a cost-effective way that meets our customers’ high expectations for service. Since our new factory is still under development, you will have a great opportunity to help shape future ways of working.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Manage and plan deliveries in SAP
- Ensure defined targets for load utilization are met
- Plan and book transport and additional services
- Manage and maintain transport routes for optimal load utilization
- Handle capacity constraints within transport routes
- Manage transport and customs documentation
- Maintain daily contact with carriers
- Work closely with both local and regional logistics organizations
- Build strong collaborations with stakeholders in transport and distribution
- Contribute to cross-Nordic collaboration
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with a university degree in logistics and experience in distribution planning, or extensive hands-on experience in transport and distribution planning with a proven track record of improvement work. You have a solid understanding of distribution and transport processes – both from an operational and systems perspective.
To thrive in this role, you have a passion for distribution and processes, and are motivated to be part of building a new workplace in Jönköping. Experience in implementing transport planning systems and evaluating different transport solutions is key to shaping future processes in our new factory.
To succeed, you are a team player with the ability to build trust while also confidently setting expectations. We place great importance on your personal qualities.
Other skills/knowledge we value:
- Ability to collaborate with production and leadership to achieve results
- Ability to identify and manage planning challenges
- Knowledge of process mapping
- Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS)
- Strong proficiency in both English and Swedish
