Are you ready to play a vital role in overseeing our maintenance stores area? At Nobia UK, we’re on the lookout for a Maintenance Storeperson to join our talented team in Darlington.
Salary – £23,901.08
Hours - 37.5 per week; Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
Closing Date – Friday 2nd May
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing excellence, receipting and packing and dispatching equipment and spares within the maintenance team. Reporting to the maintenance manager, your day-to-day will include:
- Liaise with suppliers to locate and find costs for specific parts to aid with quoting process.
- Liaise with engineers to ascertain further details required to produce quotes and to assist with booking in accepted works.
- Raise purchase order numbers and receive goods into the company using SAP ensuring all paperwork is correct and goods received are in good order and are not damaged.
- Carry out physical stock checks when required and assist in investigation of any discrepancies.
- Keep the stores clean and tidy to ensure safe working practices and to allow the stores to function efficiently and comply with the safety legislation.
- Review and control minimum and maximum hold quantities in stock control system.
What you’ll bring to the team
We’re looking for an organised team player. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Experience of using stores management software packages - preferably SHIRE.
- Previous experience in a stores/logistics environment.
- Organised with a high attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications.
