Business Controller Product & Pricing
The Business Controller Product & Pricing, is a critical central business role. We aim to execute a more intelligent pricing, using value-based pricing as one example, with the purpose to empower our Nordic brands with profitable and attractive products at the right price and to capture the full potential of pricing. The role of Business Controller for Product & Pricing is a newly established position at Nobia, offering a unique opportunity to shape and develop the role from the ground up.
Examples of Responsibilities
- Own and develop price model intelligence and Recommended Retail Prices (RRP) for full/complete kitchens and execute cross category adjustments to meet full RRP.
- Drive value-based insights and market insights including development of market surveys, driving the survey process and constant refining of such surveys.
- Calculate and set transfer prices to reflect RRP. Owner of logic from RRP to ICV and accounting for other parameters like costing, complexity and master data.
- Responsible to set and maintain harmonized RRP and list price structures. Own and develop central price and discount structures like price groups and index structures.
- Responsible to drive price performance management including identifying strategic life-cycle measures and influence in/out phasing or make vs. buy decisions. Responsible to empower Range in pricing and profitability dialogs with brands.
- Responsible to drive data transparency and coordination with Supply Chain and Brands. Drive alignment of data definitions and data analytics quality requirements within the product data and pricing area.
- Responsible to enable and facilitate Nordic Price Committee including coordination to align and decide differentiated price adjustments and coordinate and develop profit margin expectations across categories with relevant stakeholders.
- Support, guide, share best practice and coach Category Management and other stakeholders in Strategic Pricing and encourage company-wide understanding of strategic pricing and our Pricing Operating model.
You have/are
- Bachelor’s in Business Administration/Finance, Engineering, Industrial economics or other relevant disciplines as basic requirement. Master and/or MBA is meritorious, but similar knowledge base can also have been acquired through relevant work life experience.
- At least 1 year of experience working at leading strategy consulting firms, with Tier 1 firms being most advantageous.
- At least 2 years of experience in, and demonstrated know-how of pricing, strategic quantitative problem solving, or financial analysis.
- Product/category management and commercialisation in a multinational organisation, experience related to in-house production is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with strategic and financial modelling as well as experience and proven skills in leading cross functional work without having formal authority is required.
- Fluency in English written and verbal

- Must actively demonstrate the ability of efficient communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams and departments as well as display strong relationship building skills.
- Proactively work with identifying continuous improvement opportunities within strategic pricing and any other processes related to the functional responsibilities.
- Efficiency in delivering results in simultaneously running processes and projects.
- Leading and driving the Nordic Product management Pricing Operating model with focus on financial performance ambitions stated.
