Are you ready to play a vital role in keeping our operations running like clockwork? At Nobia UK, we’re on the lookout for a Stores Person / FLT Driver to join our talented team in Darlington.
Salary - £11.90 per hour plus shift allowance
Shifts – alternative shifts of 6am – 2pm and 2pm to 10pm (possibility of 10pm to 6am).
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be at the heart of our manufacturing excellence, responsible for the storage, handling and issuance of our raw materials in our warehouse, your day-to-day will include:
- Receive incoming raw materials, verify against purchase orders, and inspect for quality and quantity discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the procurement and quality assurance teams to resolve any material issues.
- Properly store raw materials in designated locations following storage guidelines.
- Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory in the system.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Issue raw materials to production or other departments based on approved requests.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
- Maintain proper documentation of material receipts, stock movement, and consumption.
- Generate inventory reports and update management on stock levels and potential shortages.
- Follow safety guidelines for handling, storing, and transporting materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding raw material storage.
What you’ll bring to the team
We’re looking for a proactive team member with a passion for delivery. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Counterbalance or Flexi Forklift Truck experience is desired but not mandatory
- Knowledge of inventory control methods and warehouse management systems.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
- Comfortable working in warehouse conditions (e.g., temperature variations, standing for long periods).
