What you’ll be doing
Magnet have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, creative and experienced, brand-orientated Marketing Manager to join the Marketing team, playing a pivotal role in breathing new life into our brand identity as well as amplifying our presence across key touchpoints. Reporting directly into the Head of Brand Marketing and Communications, you will be at the heart of the team and responsible for managing the Magnet, Magnet Trade and Magnet Projects brands (B2C and B2B).
In this role, you will be responsible for promoting, strengthening and protecting the brand image reputation in both the physical and digital world, influencing the performance of key brand and conversion metrics. You will develop strategies and manage projects for new business opportunities and strategic partnerships, working closely on our proposition and overall execution across print and digital formats. You will have a passion for the customer and their journeys, enriching each touchpoint both in-store and online.
The right candidate will be a creative marketeer, strategic thinker and quick self-starter that’s used to juggling multiple projects at once. You’ll also need a sharp eye for detail, particularly across copy, with the ability to write creative copy across two distinctive TOV’s.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape the Marketing Strategy with the Head of Brand Marketing, honing the identity of our brands through compelling cross-channel content
- Support the ownership of the marketing calendar and weekly marketing meeting, ensuring everyone is clear on the vision, launch and activation plans as well as changing needs of the business
- Capture the spirit of the brand through a passion for storytelling and innovative ideas geared towards two distinct customer groups (B2C and B2B)
- Know the product in detail, liaising with the in-house design and category teams to ensure we’re talking about the right categories/FAB’s, on the right channels, at the right stage of the journey, producing product literature for sales teams
- Collaborate with the creative teams and agencies on the development and execution of various concepts and campaigns multichannel including: paid direct response, email marketing, website and in-store as well as PR and Social
- Reach out and engage with brand and commercial partners for everything from collaborations to competitions (in-store and online) developing a strategy and calendar that activates the brand, increases awareness and drives performance
- Support ATL media execution when required
- Collaborate with internal teams to curate dynamic social media calendars, leveraging current trends and cultural moments. Manage PR/Social agency relationships, overseeing quarterly reviews to track progress against objectives, whilst also developing brand partnerships and managing influencer collaborations
- Define the visual identity of social media platforms in line with brand guidelines, focusing on Meta platforms and Pinterest. Establish and oversee reporting processes for PR and social metrics, manage social media budgets, and collaborate with marketing and digital teams to maximise branding opportunities, including paid media, digital PR, and SEO efforts
- Develop and safeguard the brands unique tone of voice, driving differentiation from competitors. Develop comprehensive TOV guidelines, empowering the team to consistently integrate them across all communications channels from product descriptions to email campaigns and everything in between
- Keep on top of industry trends, remaining close to competitor activity, coming up with tactics to further elevate the brand
- Support the team, getting stuck into everything from new business opportunities to exhibitions, internal marketing communications to printed literature
- Able to manage and work within budgets
- Attend all-agency meetings and events when required
Your skillset for performance:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business and Management, or a related field – relevant certificates are a plus
- Proven experience (4 years+) in an Assistant Marketing/Brand Manager or Marketing/Brand Manager role, preferably within a retail or consumer-focused industry – a background in interiors or fashion will be advantageous
- Strong copywriting skills with appreciation of how to flex for differing TOV’s or channels
- Strategic thinking coupled up with exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Strong understanding of print processes
- Creative, with a strong passion for the brand
- Excellent project and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide internal/sales presentation
