March 2018 - Sustainability: Nobia increases score in CDP Forests Report
November 2019 - Nobia has been ranked as second best in the 2019 sustainability ranking “Hållbara bolag” in the category consumer goods. In this annual ranking the sustainability management of OMX listed companies has been evaluated and rated.
The ranking called ”Hållbara Bolag” is carried out by the School of Economics at Lund University, Aktuell Hållbarhet (a Swedish newspaper monitoring work with environment, sustainability and social responsibility) and Dagens Industri (a Swedish business-oriented daily newspaper). The rating includes OMX listed companies, divided in to six different categories: banks, investment companies, FMCG, consumer goods and capital goods.
Nobia improved its ranking from no. 5 in its category in 2018 to no. 2 this year. A large focus area in the ranking is how the rated companies work with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. 2017 Nobia developed and implemented a sustainability strategy, based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- It is exiting and very rewarding to see that our joint efforts within Nobia are highlighted and rewarded externally in this way. Over the last 3 years we have done a lot within the area of sustainability; we have implemented a sustainability strategy, transitioned all our production units to renewable electricity, implemented new systems and routines for responsible sourcing and so much more. We have a lot more to do, but I think we should also take this opportunity to celebrate everything we have already done, and of course, make sure we inform our stakeholders about our progress, says Amanda Jackson, Head of Group Sustainability.
